Whats going to happen Monday.

I have been following the news over the past few days and am somewhat worried, Indymac being taken over by the FDIC, Fannie and Freddie's worries and so on.

Freddie has a bond flotation of over 3 billion on monday that may be in jeporady and fannie is on the brink.

what do you all see as happening, will the government have to step in and assist or will it work itself out?

When is a good time to buy???

In my area prices are back to 2000 levels in some areas, most if not all of the gains that happened from 2003-2006 are gone and then some.

you can purchase a newer home in a desirable are for less that $100 a square foot and still buyers are waiting for that magical bottom, we wont know where the bottom is without the benefit of hindsight and then its too late.

Its a fantastic time to buy, Prices are low, interest rates are still close to 6% and the choices are outstanding.

My advice is not to sit on the sidelines, if you are waiting now is the time
