Thought for the day

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than the education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people say or think or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company, a church, a business or a home.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  WE cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  WE cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing that we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent of how I react to it.  And so it is with you… we are all in charge of our attitudes”.

Very well said, Andrew. I try to remind myself of this every day. And on the days I do, things tend to go much better!

Is this a quote from someone or yours?  It is good advice and well written.  Tougher to follow when the chips are down, but an effort should be made.

Andrew, You're very right and I always try to see a silver lining.  There always is one, actually, although sometimes you have to look very hard for it!

I agree. I have mentioned this before but you may want to google desiderata. I try to live by this as much as I can.
